Paul R. Roulier
LYNNFIELD Paul R. Roulier, 66, beloved husband of Sandy (Walker) Roulier, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital in Burlington following a lengthy illness.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Dr. Bernard S. & Cecile (Jean) Roulier. He was a lifelong resident of Lynnfield. He attended Lynnfield schools and graduated from Wakefield High School, then East Coast Aero-Tech School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy for a short term between the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts.
Mr. Roulier was employed with Eastern Airlines until their merger with Delta Airlines. He then was a Service Technicia with Gibbs Oil of Revere, and was a Plant Terminal Operator with Atlantic Petroleum at Chelsea Oil Terminal until his recent retirement.
He was always an active man with many interests. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, camping-especially in Acadia National Park, gardening, was a member of the American Rose Society, enjoyed music and volunteered with the 27th Lancers Drum & Bugle Corps and the Garfield Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, and the St. Anthony’ s Honor Guard when his son & daughter were active, and he also liked square dancing. He liked creating & working with stained glass, and winemaking. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Lynn.
He is survived by: his wife, Sandra (Walker) Roulier of Lynnfield, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage; one daughter and son-in-law, Leanne M. & Lawrence Miner of Lynnfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael P. & Donna Roulier of Towaco, NJ and David & Melinda Roulier of Acworth, GA; his mother-in-law, Ruth A. Walker of West Newbury; four grandchildren, Janette & Cameron Roulier of NJ and Ethan & Brady Roulier of GA; two brothers, Ronald P. Roulier of Pensacola, FL and Philip Roulier of Liverpool, NY; and several nieces and nephews
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut ST. location, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
Cremation will follow the ceremony. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to the Lahey Foundation, c/o Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Rd., Burlington, MA or to give blood at a local Red Cross to give life at a time of remembrance of Mr. Roulier
