Obituary of Helen HM Checicki
Helen HM Checicki, 81, of Peabody, died early Sunday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness.
Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marianna (Baranovicus) Checicki. She was raised and educated in Chelsea, later moved to Everett and has spent the last 35 years living in Peabody.
She worked at the Carmel Credit Union in Chelsea for over 40 years as a loan officer and later as manager before retiring 15 years ago. She was a member of Zonta, a professional women’s charitable group in Chelsea.
She is survived by three nephews, Stephen Potter of Medford, Michael and his wife Valerie Potter of Haverhill, and Kenneth and his wife Joanne Checicki of North Andover, and is also survived by her pet dog, Rudi. She was the sister of the late Albert, Francis, Helen, Alexandra, and Sr. Stella Marie Checicki, Fsss, and Antoinette Potter.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours are on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
