Obituary of Bryan J. La Rosa

Bryan J. La Rosa, 28, of New Hampshire and formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at his home. Born in Salem, he was the loving son of Judith (McHugh) La Rosa of Peabody and the late Steven J. La Rosa. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veteran’s Memorial High School, class of 1997. In his youth, he played in all of the Peabody Youth’s Sports, including Pop Warner Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, and Babe Ruth Baseball. In high school, he played lacrosse and freshman football. He also enjoyed hiking and was an avid Red Sox Fan. He attended University of Massachusetts Lowell and received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2003. After his graduation he worked for a temp agency and was employed with the John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston. He was subsequently hired and became a Senior Annuity Service Representative with the company and was currently working in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire office. Besides his loving mother, he is survived by an aunt and two uncles's, Ginny and Arthur Richards of Chelsea, Joseph and Anna McHugh of Hopedale, and Peter La Rosa of Florida, a great aunt, Ellen Simmons of Revere and is also survived by several cousins. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Make A Wish Foundation of Massachusetts, One Bulfinch Place 2nd floor, Boston, MA 02114.
