Robert F. Garlin, Sr.
PEABODY Robert F. Garlin, Sr., 54, of Gardner Road, died Saturday morning at the Salem Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Salem, he was the son of Thomas Garlin of Peabody and Rose (Brown) Garlin of Peabody. He lived on the North Shore for most of his life, and attended Peabody schools.
Mr. Garlin served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Upon returning Stateside, he started his career as a Machinist at General Electric in Lynn, and worked there for 34 years.
He is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Robert F. & Lisa Garlin, Jr. of Peabody; his father, Thomas Garlin of Peabody; his mother, Rose (Brown) Garlin of Peabody; two brothers and a sisters-in-law, his twin brother, Richard & Katherine Garlin of Beverly, and John & Janice Garlin of Peabody, one nephew, Matthew Garlin of Beverly, and several friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visitation on Wednesday from 5 to 7:30 P.M. in the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Tribute Ceremony commemorating his life at 7:45 P.M.
