Obituary of Eleanor W. Ewing
Eleanor W. . Ewing, 96, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody after a long illness. She was born in Middleton, Ma on October 24, 1910, the daughter of the late Dr. George W. and Lena (Wilkins) Ewing .
Following her education, she resided in New York City where she was a graphic artist in the advertising industry for 30 years. She then returned to Peabody where she has resided for the past 35 years .
She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a devout member of the First Congregational Church of Reading.
She is survived by a nephew and his wife, George W. and Roberta Ewing of Peabody, a niece, Claire E. Ewing of Sarasota, Florida, a grand niece, Dawn A. Ewing, a grand nephew, Brian P. Ewing, her great grand nephews, Justin S. Ewing and John Petrillo and a great grand niece, Stephanie Petrillo. She was the sister of the late Robert Ewing.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM at the Conway,Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody .with Rev. Eric Redard , pastor of First Congregational Church of Reading officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 until 10:00 AM prior to the Services. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. Expressions of sympathy may be made to charity of your choice.
