Obituary of Kenneth Bertrand Young, Jr.

Kenneth Bertrand Young, Jr., 74, husband of Mary I. (Ryder) Young of Peabody, died Thursday May 3, 2007 at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Peabody with his family at his side. Mr. Young was born on June 21, 1932, in Lynn son of the late Kenneth B. Young, Sr. and Lorraine (McGregor) Young. He was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. He resided in Lynn before moving to Peabody in 1989. Mr. Young was employed for 22 years as a truck driver with Analogic Corporation in Peabody until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed bowling a sport that he excelled at, fishing, playing cards and camping in Acton ME. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 children, Kenneth and Howard Young, Lorraine Wetmore; his step children, Gary and Deborah LeBaron of Peabody, Diane and Anthony Iarrobino of Wakefield, Kathleen and Lou Asmar of Leominster and Julie de Grandpre of Wakefield; 3 brothers, George and Robert Young of FL and Reginald Young of CA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His siblings John, Bessie and Gloria pre deceased him. His funeral will be held on Tuesday May 8, 2007 at - a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (new location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Monday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
