Charles J. Bois
PEABODY Charles J. Bois, 70, beloved husband of Catherine M. (Economakos) Bois, died Friday morning at the E. N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford following a lengthy illness.
Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Theresa (Rosenberger) Bois. He lived in Cambridge in his youth and attended schools there. He graduated from Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School. He later moved to Malden where he lived for 30 years, and lived in Peabody for the last 11 years.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Upon returning to the States, Mr. Bois was an Electrician for several years before retiring due to war-related disabilities.
He is survived by: his wife, Catherine (Econamakos) Bois of Peabody, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage; two daughters, Gwen Habelman of Peabody and Catherine Sullivan of Billerica; two loving grandchildren, Nicholas Habelman and Courtney Habelman, both of Peabody; a sister, Evelyn Coffman of Weymouth, and he leaves several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late William and Edward, Mary Beckenhuis, and Dorothy McColigan.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Lowell St., Peabody.
Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
