Obituary of Francis J. Rosa

Francis J. Rosa, 74, in Concord MA, formerly of Peabody, Woburn MA & Greenville SC. died Tuesday May 15, 2007 at the Walden Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Concord MA. Mr. Rosa was born on September 4, 1932, in Peabody son of the late Francis and Emily (Bettencourt) Rosa. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School Class of 1950. From 1953 to 1955, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He later pursued his education and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. He later resided in Woburn MA for 20 years and Greenville NC for 10 years. Mr. Rosa was employed for 30 years as a Mechanical Engineer for W.R. Grace in Woburn MA and for the last 10 years prior to his retirement in 1999 at their headquarters in South Carolina. He enjoyed golfing, gardening and was a self-taught computer programmer. He is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Denise Cimetti of Dracut MA, Pamela and Edward Crosswhite of Hiram GA and Stephanie and Michael Rose of Derry HH; a sister, Geraldine Tobin of Franklin NH and his grandchildren, Matthew Cimetti of Dracut MA, Hunter Crosswhite of GA and Allyssa, Christina and Timothy Rose all of NH. A sister Marie Morong pre deceased him. A funeral service will be held Saturday May 19, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
