Obituary of Charles H. Bamberg
Charles H. Bamberg, 85, of Peabody, husband of the late Dorothy Frances Kelly, died Friday May 18, 2007 at Beverly Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Bamberg was born September 26, 1921 in Boston, son of the late Charles and Clara (Santowsky) Bamberg. He was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. He resided in Dorchester and Hingham before moving to Peabody in 1982.
Mr. Bamberg was employed for many years as a salesman in the steam valve industry until his retirement in 1980. He loved reading and watching the Red Sox.
He is survived by a brother and his wife, Walter and Doris Bamberg of Stoughton; a sister, Bertha Davidson of RI; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Ann Croce, Helen Rivitz, Margaret Perry all of Peabody, Charles Kelly of Brockton, John Kelly of Louisiana, Thomas Kelly of Plum Island and Mary and Salvatore Bonasoro of Winthrop and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Monday May 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
