Dear Linda and family:
I never had the pleasure of meeting you.My husband Jim and Joey's mother were brother and sister.Joey was one of my favorite nephews thru marriage.
When we were first married and living in Stoneham,he would come over in the evening to watch T V with Jim and the two of them would go thru a whole cake in one sitting. He sure loved his sweets.I'm just sorry that we lost track of him as we all went our seperate ways. He'll alway have a soft place in my heart.God Bless you.
Aunt Grace

To Joe you were always a special person to me. I always respected you and how much love and affection you had for my sister Linda. You two had such a special bond. We all know how you kept fighting so you could stay with us longer. God knows that you were getting tired and that is why you had to leave us. Don't worry we will all watch over Linda for you. One more thing when it comes to my turn to join you in heaven I wll bring the last request that you wanted which was the turnover. One for you, one for me.
I will never forget you,
Love Elaine

To my Dad,
Today was the most hardest day of my life having to say "goodbye" to the bravest, strongest, most intelligent man I've ever known. I know that you are at peace after fighting the toughest battle of your life, and God knows you did not give in easily. You will always be in my heart and my mind. I will think of you every day, until the day I join you. And I will talk about you all the time to Rachel so that she will never forget that she had the world's greatest Grampy!.
Love always,
Sandy

Joe and I were co workers at Waste Management of Gloucester, I remember Joe as a soft spoken, kind man who never had a bad thing to say about anyone, well maybe once when he was on vacation and returned to find his truck a mess and the mirror ripped off!
My deepest sympathy to the Smith Family.
Lisa
Of all the people we meet and work with I find that only a few stand a little taller, shine a little brighter. Joe was one of those people. His sense of duty, honor and dedication to family and friends are just a few of the things that make him the type of person I've always looked up to.

I enjoyed working along side Joe in the recycle center at Waste Management-Gloucester for many years. Joe was a special man and a good friend. I will never forget how impeccable he kept his truck, I especially enjoyed our lunch breaks, just talking. Sorry for your loss.
