I shared a cubicle in XPK with Joe for about a year and worked with him for about three. He was an interesting character with great stories...but most of all a truly dedicated and humble patriot. My condolences to all who loved him, he is gone all too soon.
Lorraine Vickers, Billerica, MA

I am deeply saddened to hear of the pssing of Joe. I knew him as a wonderful man with great compassion. He and I shared a bond as Vietnam Vets both highly decorated and spoke often of the ghosts that remain with us. Joe always showed respect, honor and love for everyone. I send my thoughts and prayers to the entire family, and especially to Joe III and Diane because I know them both. I already miss Joe and so shall we all. Please be at Peace my brother, and also your loving family.
Sincerely,
Rock Giambrocco

You have my heart felt condolances and sympathy. I met Mr. Copello when I was working in Bldg 1618 and we had many memorable discussions over coffee in the mornings on numerous topics - from work to Thomas Kinkade - he is a well liked and respected member of the Hanscom Family and his loss will be felt for a very long time to come. Rest in Eternal Peace and Paridise, my friend, you have done yourself, your family, and your country proud.

My heartfelt condolences to Michele, Karin, Joey, and Tamara as well as Diane. He was a great man who loved each of you dearly and will be greatly missed. I've only met him a few times when he came to visit Michele in college but it only took once for him to leave a lasting impression of how great a person he was.
May Joe rest in peace and God be with all of you during this difficult time.
Much love,
Yvette

I worked many years with Joe. The measure of a man is his spirit, not the ourside veneer. Joe was and is the spirit, and that is reflected in all he touched. Rest in peace Joe.
