Obituary of Annie (Rabchenuk) Kulak

Annie (Rabchenuk) Kulak PEABODY—Annie (Rabchenuk) Kulak, 93, of Beverly, formerly of Peabody and Atkinson, NH, passed away on Monday evening October 27, 2008 at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Nikefor and Julianne Rabchenuk, and beloved wife of the late Walter Kulak. She was raised and educated in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1933. She furthered her education and graduated from the Nursing Program at J.B. Thomas Hospital of Peabody. Mrs. Kulak worked as a Registered Nurse with the former Hunt Hospital in Danvers, and was a Night Supervisor at the former Mary Alley Hospital in Marblehead. Together with her husband, they owned and operated Level Acres Farm in West Peabody, being one of the last Farmers in the city. In 1981, they retired to Atkinson, NH where they met and made friends while pursuing their love of farming and gardening. Annie is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard & his wife Trish Kulak of Fairfax, VA and Daniel & his wife Corinne Kulak of Peabody; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Kulak of Derry, NH who was a wonderful caregiver to her, and Stella Buivid of Salem; six grandchildren, Lisa Kulak, Beckie (Kulak) and Billy Reilly, Tara (Kulak) and Jason Harvey, Chris and Heidi Kulak, Jennifer Kulak, Amie Kulak and Andrew Kulak; 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A private Family Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 1.
