Dear Mrs.C, Debbie, Cheryl, and Chris,<br><br>My family and I send our most heartfelt sympathy to all of you. It's been a pleasure to have known all of you through our younger days. Your husband and Dad worked tiredlessly throughout his life, and I am forever thankful to have met him while you lived in Chelmsford. I know he is very proud of all the love you share with each other, and rest assured, he is at Peace now. <br><br>We do not choose to be born. We do not choose our parents, or the country of our birth. We do not, most of us, choose to die; nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death. But within this realm of choicelessness, we do choose how we live."<br>This is what The Dash is all about.<br><br>The Dash<br>A Poem by Linda Ellis<br>Written in 1996<br>Copied by Gail July 26, 2006 w/addition of the above comments.<br><br><br>I heard of a man, who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. <br>He referred to the dates on his tombstone, <br>from the beginning to the end.<br><br>He noted that first, came his date of birthAnd spoke the following dates with tears,But he said what mattered most of all,Was the “dash” between the years.<br><br>For that dash represents all the time that Bob spent alive on Earth,<br>And now only those who loved him know what the little line is worth.<br><br>For it matters not how much we own; the cars, the house, the cash.<br>What matters is how we live and love, and how we spend our dash.<br><br>Mr.C, thank you for those memories, stored in my heart, of us "kids" growing up in Chelmsford! You'll always remain with us in our hearts!<br><br>
