Obituary of Leslie Martin Pommer

Leslie Martin Pommer, of Peabody, passed away March 14, 2009 at the age of 50 years at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of Catherine Lee Pommer. Leslie was born in New Haven, CT, to Mary Ellen (Symonds) Pommer and the late Herbert Pommer. He was the brother of James W. Pommer and Ella (Robin) Rossiter, all of Guilford, CT., uncle of James E. and his wife Victoria and Thomas Pommer, all of Niantic, CT. Leslie graduated in 1976 from Guilford High School and in 1980 from the University of Connecticut at Storrs. He was employed at General Electric in Lynn as a mechanical engineer in the aircraft engine design group. Les was a longtime member of local health clubs. He was an avid car buff and auto racing fan who found great enjoyment with his family and many friends. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., followed by a service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be on Friday in the Branford Center Cemetery Montowese St in Branford, CT.
