Hello Virginia and Billy and Jean,<br><br>I sent you a message through this web site the other day but it seems to have become lost somewhere in cyberspace. So I thought I'd try again.<br><br>I was deeply saddened to read of Howie's death but I remember him with much pleasure. He was, as you know, the Best Man at our wedding in 1946. And he managed to lighten an already happy day with his special touch of humor. And you, Billy, were the most photographed kid in the City of Lynn (or anywhere for that matter) when cameras were not ordinary family possessions. You parents loved you such a lot. They carried that love into your family and Amy and Alison became thieir new bright lights. Howie was a good guy, a good husband and father and a good friend.<br>I couldn't get down to his service (time marches on) but I am thinking about all of you with much affection.<br>I wish you all the loving comfort of you own special memories.<br> Howie's sister-in-law, Irene.
