Obituary of John Frederick Martine

John Frederick Martine, 59, of Peabody died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, June 18, 2009. Born on August 15, 1949 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, John is survived by his cherished wife of 36 years, Judy (Marshall) Martine of Peabody, MA and their beloved daughter, Tracy Dolan and her husband Spencer of Bedford, MA. John was a 1973 graduate of Northeastern University and physical education teacher for the city of Boston for 35 years. Throughout his career, John touched the lives of many students promoting physical fitness and athletics. John maintained his own healthy lifestyle well into his retirement and enjoyed spending his time between Peabody and his home in Florida. John is also survived by his mother-in-law, Rita Marshall of Lynn, MA, sister Susan Faro and her husband Joseph of North Andover, sister Karen Miltner and her husband Albert of Rochester, NH, his mother Jeanette Martine and sister Joyce Pennybaker and her husband David of Winthrop, MA, and many nieces and nephews, and his dog Ollie. John was pre deceased by his father-in-law John J. Marshall. At the request of the family a private family service was held on Saturday, June 20, 2009.
