Sharon and I started at Brooksby on the same day! We became fast friends in orientation and she has made my time there so enjoyable. From day 1 she shared with me how much she loved her family and how proud she was of her children. She was an inspiration to all of us.....while she battled her cancer, she also made an important choice and that was choosing LIFE. She made the best of the time that she had with her family and Brooksby Friends. I will be forever greatful to the Mills family for sharing such a wonderful, loving and caring person. I am a better person for having known my good friend Sharon.... Love and deepest sympathy to the entire Mills Family. Kristen

To the Mills and Walsh Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. In my many travels to BBV with Erickson Retirement, I was fortunate to have worked with Sharon. She always had a smile and was always optimistic regardless of the circumstances of her health or any internal pain she was experiencing. She spoke so frequently of the strength she found in her family and friends. She was truly inspirational to me and I feel that in many ways she taught me to cherish the little things and to enjoy each moment of my life. I am forever grateful to have known her. I am so very sorry for your loss and I hope that in some small way the positive energy she has shared with others will bring you some comfort.

Melissa Gasker

I am so very sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. I worked with Sharon for many years at Sears and will always remember her strength, humor and compassion while fighting such an awful disease. My heart broke when I heard the news. I often bumped into Sharon at school, as two of our kids are the same ages. I will miss seeing her smiling face, but I will never forget her. Her entire family is in my prayers.
