Obituary of Sharon M. (Walsh) Mills

Sharon M. (Walsh) Mills, 47 years, wife of Joseph T. Mills of Peabody, died after a brave 14 years fight with breast cancer on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family at her side. Sharon was born on August 10, 1962, in Lynn, the daughter of Virginia (Parcher) Walsh of Peabody and the late Robert J. Walsh. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School Class of 1980, then attended Marion Court in Swampscott where she received her Associates Degree in Business in 1982. Sharon began her working career at Sears LCC in Lynn and then moved to the Salem office. She was later employed at Clarke & Reid Executive Movers and for the past 5 years as the business office manager at Brooksby Village Renaissance Gardens in Peabody. Sharon will be well remembered by her family, friends and coworkers as a fun person, with a great personality and patience while teaching others and also as a multi task person who could handle most complicated problems with ease. Sharon dedicated her entire life to her children and attended all of their school and sports activities, coached Lynn Youth Soccer for years, and kept very active playing volleyball in the Lynn & Salem Recreation Leagues until most recently. Sharon enjoyed camping, Foxwoods, traveling, and was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. In addition to her husband of 27 years and her mother, Sharon is survived by her children, Sara A., Christopher M. and Katelyn M. Mills all of Peabody; 4 brothers and their spouses, Robert and Joanne Walsh of Peabody, Kenneth Walsh of Bellevue, Iowa, Richard and Jean Walsh of Malden, and Brian and Denise Walsh of Billerica; her mother-in-law, Eleanor Mills of Danvers; her brother-in-laws and their spouses, William Mills, John and Wanda Mills all of Saugus, and Walter and Terry Mills of Farmington, NH; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and work colleagues. Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
