I grew up with Gene and Frank and the whole Connors family. They were a wonderful family and you were always welcomed in to their home. Life was simpler then and West Peabody was a small, close knit, community. We can't go back but we can remember.<br>God bless you Gene, Rest in Peace. I'm proud to have known you. Everett

My sympathies and condolences to Gene's family. I first met Gene when I worked for Carleton Ambulance and was stationed at the West Peabody station. He was the epitomy of a GREAT firefighter and boss. Later I re-connected with Gene when I was a Boxford police officer and found that he was the brother-in-law of Helen Killam a friend of mine. He was a little older and a little more grey but he was still Gene. A great and good man who made a difference and will be missed. God Bless you Gene.
