Obituary of Theresa A. "Terry" (Nascimento) McHenry

Theresa A. (Nascimento) McHenry PEABODY—Theresa A. (Nascimento) McHenry, 62, beloved wife of David McHenry of Peabody, died peacefully at her home in the comforting presence of her family on Monday October 25, 2010. Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Galvin) Nascimento. She grew up there, and graduated from Chelsea High School. She lived in Peabody for over 30 years. Mrs. McHenry had a long career with New England Telephone, which became NYNeX. She was a trainer for many years, and enjoyed a 29 year career there. Theresa, known as Terry to her family and many wonderful friends, was active at her parish of St. Adelaide’s Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was very dedicated and supportive of her family, and carried that spirit and support on the Boosters Club of St. John’s Prep in Danvers. She will be dearly missed by her extensive network of friends and her loving family. She is survived by: her husband, David McHenry of Peabody; a beloved mother of David & his wife JenniferMcHenry, Jr. of Mesa, AZ, Monique & her husband Stephen Drumheller of Madison, GA, and Troy McHenry of Peabody; she was a loving grandmother of Kiernan and Aidan Drumheller, and Tiege, Ryan, and Hannah McHenry; a brother Belfred Galvin and sister Rosemary Nascimento both of Chelsea, and several nieces and nephews, and enjoyed a longtime friendship of 44 years with Karen McCormack and Matt Thompson. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her siblings John and Joseph, and Doris Nascimento, and half-brother Raymond Galvin. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday October 29, 2010 at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In Lieu of flowers, the McHenry family is establishing a scholarship fund at St. John's Prep in memory of Theresa Ann McHenry.
