Obituary of Catherine M Yiakas

Catherine Yiakas, 49, of Lynn and formerly of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at her home following a brief illness. Born in Saugus, she was the daughter of Charles and Eileen (White) Yiakas of Peabody. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate o Bishop Fenwick High School, class of 1980. Catherine worked as a waitress for several restaurants throughout the North Shore before her illness. Besides her parents, Catherine is survived by two sisters, Joyce Kimber of Berlin, NH and Nicole Celso of Beverly, her maternal grandmother, Mary Yiakas of Lynn, two nieces, Alexia and Elianna Kimber and by her long time companion, Frank Curreri of Lynn and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visiting hours will be held today Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
