Prudence was a lovely, alert, and caring woman. She was always pleasant and always spoke to me. I enjoyed our little conversations from time to time in church. She was a centurian and the good Lord gave her a good life.
I sincerely enjoyed knowing her. Love, Myde

Prudence was an amazing lady. In the time I was pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Peabody, I got to see and get to know Prudence. Never much of a conversationalist, she was a faithful follower of Christ who loved her Lord and those around her. She visited different people in the nursing home over the years, was at church and prayer meeting every week, and was simply a good woman to have around.

I visited her home once and had the privilege of hearing the story of how she came to the United States as a little girl. It was a fascinating story. Coming from Ireland on a boat, frozen in the Hudson Bay, if I remember correctly, making her way down to Peabody with her family. Having her father get a job in a tanning factory only to die three weeks after arriving leaving behind a wife and several children was simply amazing.

May God be with Ray and the rest of the family. Prudence will be greatly missed.

Blessings,

Travis M. Fleming
