Ryan C. Gillespie
PEABODY—Ryan C. Gillespie, 18, beloved son of Robert and Jean (Gallant) Gillespie, died as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident on Tuesday July 5, 2011.
Born in Beverly, he was a lifelong resident of Peabody. He recently graduated from Peabody High School.
Ryan had an interest in computers, and planned on studying computer science. He enjoyed snowboarding, riding his dirt bike, and was an avid sports fan. He played youth hockey and baseball, loved music and social gatherings with his friends. He was recently working at a retail establishment in South Peabody.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Jean Gillespie of Peabody, a sister and brother-in-law, Nicole & Jim Wilson of Danvers; a niece & nephew, Audrey Wilson and Brandon Wilson; paternal grandparents Mary Gillespie and Albert Barbaro of Saugus, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Esty and Barbara Gallant and his uncle Brian Gillespie.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Monday July 11, 2011 at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
