Obituary of John T. "Jay" Isom

John Thomas “Jay” Isom Jr., 54, of Des Moines, Washington and formerly of Arizona, died on September 23, 2011 at the Highline Memorial hospital in Burien, WA after a long illness. He was born in Victoria, Texas on February 22, 1957, the son of John T. Isom and the late Mary E. (Brennan) Isom and had resided in Massachusetts before moving to Arizona. He had resided in the Seattle , Washington area for the past 2 years. He was a graduate of East Coast Aero Tech of Bedford, MA and had been a licensed aircraft technician with Alaska Airlines for the past 20 years. He also graduated from the University of California with a certificate in law. Jay had a love of music playing his guitar and had formed a small band doing Gigs for special occasions. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and love to ride and work with the engines on them. He is survived by his father, John and his step-mother, Judith (Sovulis) Isom of Peabody, MA, his two sisters, Nancy Brownell of Fall River, MA and Sandra Fullerton of Hanover, MA., 4 step brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility with a Service there at 3:45 PM. A Committal will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River at a later date.
