Lena is the most genteel, kind, considerate, and thoughtful person I have met.  She brings joy to people around her.  <br /><br />She would bake goodies for neighborhood children and brought them to me when she came to my clinic sometimes.  Being an open-minded soul, she would try her best to incorporate a different life style (Traditional Chinese Medicine) into her life even though it is hard to do.  She would soak up her feet in hot water until it warms up her body and felt relaxed with better sleep even though her body is getting frail.  She would drink the bitter tasting Chinese herbs that may help her get stronger even though she did not like it.  She would bare her feet walking around the house because she could absorb more negative ions to balance out the too much positive ions in her body.  It's all a very different concept, she was very persistent in trying to get better.  Her determination and effort in getting better really inspired me to forge ahead in this field. <br /><br />Thank you very much, Mark and Jack!  You support and loyalty toward taking care of Lena has been unrelenting and extremely strong loving.  I appreciated knowing and serving your family.  Lena is a very special person who has been most proud of having you.   Best wishes and in peace.

I had the pleasure of knowing Lena when I cared for her while she was recovering from surgery last year. I'm very sad that I wasn't able to pay my respects today because of my busy work schedule and I want to express my condolences to her family. She was an amazing woman and we shared a special bond...God Bless You!

<br />Sincerest condolences to Lena's family.<br /><br />Lena was truly a great woman, and we will all miss her.  She was not only a member of what Tom Brokaw called the "Greatest Generation", she <strong>epitomized</strong> it.<br /><br />If you haven't read a copy of her book, the Peabody Historical Society has copies.  What an amazing woman!<br />  <br /><br />

She was always 'Mom' to me.  In these last few months i began to realize what she meant to others (an aunt, sister, friend).  She touched a lot of people in her lifetime.<br><div></div><br><div>She was always my best friend and a 'soulmate'. My brother Jack and I were blessed to have her so long, (and my Dad, but still it hurts tremendously). </div><br><div></div><br><div>We should rejoice in her long and accomplished life. She was a strong woman with a kind heart. I love her, and will continue until my day comes. </div><br><div></div><br><div></div>

<p>Aunt Lena was a special person. While I only got to see her on a few occasions, it always felt good to be with her. Her smile and the twinkle in her eyes was infectious. I know she will be missed by many including me.</p>
