Dear Patti, Sean, Pat, Ken, Paul, Dottie, Pam, Farzad, Kennie and Persia:
Gus, Christina and I will remember Nancy forever. She has been a dear and trusted friend since 1959 when we met in the biology lab at Emmanuel College. She married and went on a different path from me but we always manged to come together and keep our friendship alive. We will never forget the night in Washington, D.C. in 1981 when Gus, Nancy and I flew through the streets to Walter Reed Army Medical Center where Christina was delivered. Since that day, May 16th, 1981, she was always there to listen, to support, to share and to offer her love. She was the most resilient person I know. Her love for her dear family and friends was unconditional. She was a great talker, history buff and one who appreciated the sacrifices made by people close to her. We will truly miss her presence in our lives but she has left her mark.
Love,
Gus, Pauline and Christina Stathis, Stow, MA

Goodnight, sweet princess, and may flights of angels lull thee to thy rest. After they made Nancy they truly broke the mold. My thought are with the Reardon and Totas clans in this time or sorrow.

Hi Mom.

Sean, Harry and I will miss you so. You taught us to be kind, open hearted and strong willed. What you taught us will help us get through the next few days without you as this is the biggest challenge we have encountered by far. You were always there when we needed you and we were glad to be there with you until the end, It was so hard for us to see you so weak and in so much pain, we felt so helpless. We are who we are because of your continual love and support. It will always be with us as we go on....you were the best Mother and teacher. I love you and will keep your memory and thoughts with me every day.

Your daughter,
Patti aka Mumphie

Patti, Sean, Pat, Ken & family - It's hard to believe that such an amazing woman is no longer with us. I have such wonderful memories of her when I was a young girl, always by my mom's side - and as an adult, at my wedding, and later holding my two children when they were just tiny babies. We loved having "Nana Nancy" visit us here in South Carolina. She was an important part of our family as well. I know her presence will always be felt with us and continue to bond our families together in love and friendship. We all made so many wonderful memories together and Nancy was always at the center of those great times. I grieve with you and for your loss, but I know she is in a better place with no pain...smiling down at all of us. I truly feel like I have been enriched by having her as a part of my life as long as I did. I'm just so happy that my children, especially Allie, got the chance to know such a strong, caring, charismatic, wonderful woman.

I wish I could be there with you to give you comfort during these next few days. Our family sends our love to all of you.

Beth, Jason, Allie & Nathan

Condolences to Patti, Sean, my Mother, Patricia and her brother Paul. Aunt Nancy was a woman loved by everyone and a woman who loved everyone. There were two kinds of people in her world. Those she knew and loved and those she didn't know and yet still loved. Everyone in her world was treated with the same respectful kindness whether it was the clerk at the market down the street or the Superintendant at the school district where she taught. She inspired people and warmed their hearts with her warm personality, ferocious wit and incredible brilliance. There will never be another Aunt Nancy. No one will ever even come close...
