I was saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He was absolutely one of the brightest and friendliest members of my section at
NU EE Class of 1963. I have great memories of him because of how good a person he was. There will doubtless be many good
memories to look back on. I will not forget him.

Joel M Goldberg, 63ELBLXKsZ

Dear Alice and Family,

Like Bill Zollo, I spent my freshman year with Jim at Northeastern's Marlboro-Street men's dorm in 1958, and then, along with Bob West, lived with him in different apartments during our remaining undergraduate years. It was great to see him at the 2003 reunion. When I think back to us during those Northeastern days, I immediately see his eager face with a big smile on it, I can hear his deep throated laugh, and then of course I remember his engineering competence--and how all of us other engineering students wished we had the visceral sense of the discipline that he had. I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm sorry he's gone. He was a good person. John Donoghue

Dear Alice and family,

Bill and I wish to extend our sincere sympathy and share in your sorrow. Bill and Jim knew each other from their first day at Northeastern University and became fast friends from that day forward. They lived in the very first 'freshmen men's dorm' in 1958 for 22 outstanding young men eager to begin their college careers. 428 Marlboro Street became the center of their newfound universe. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and yours. Love, Bill and Anita Zollo

We smile when we think of Jim's easy-going yet go-get-'em nature, dry sense of humor and astounding passion and skills at building stuff. He was an integral part of our Winchester Boat Club and Snipe sailing lives. We wish his family peace. Rest well, Jim.

It was always good to see Jim and Alice at the Class of '58 gatherings and witness the deep love each had for the other, thank you, Alice for sharing Jim with us.

Alice, please keep in touch.
To The Bowers family: Please accept my sincerest sympathy in your time of loss. Jim will be lovingly remembered by the many whose lives he touched. Last fall he started attending our "class of "58" luncheons. It was so nice to get reacquainted with him and to know his delightful wife. I am so glad that we had that time together.
Alice--my heart goes out, especially, to you, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you will join us for lunch again when you feel up to it. Blessings to all, Nancy(Howard) Fitzgerald
