Obituary of Frank W. Boraszia
Frank W. Boraszia, 91, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at the Brigham and Women’ s Hospital in Boston after sustaining injuries from an accident early Monday morning in Peabody. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen J. (Washburn) Boraszia.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Fabian and Josephine (Petkavitch) Boraiza. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools.
He worked for over thirty eight years for the city of Peabody as a foreman for the department of Public Works, retiring in 1976.
He was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Navy and was the recipient of the World War II Victory and American Theatre Medals.
Mr. Boraszia was also a member of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E.1409 and American Legion Post 153, both in Peabody. He also was a member of the Sampson World War II Vets in Lake Geneva, New York, and the AFL-CIO Labor Union.
He is survived by a brother, Stephen Boraizia of Swampscott, three nephews, Steve M. and James Boraizia, and Dennis Boraiza, three nieces, Janice Regis, Adrienne Storozuk and Lois Boraiza and several grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Adolph and Francis Boraiza and Mary Asgeirson.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
