Growing up 2 doors down as a childhood friend of the Verrocchi's, I will always remember standing outside their door shouting out "HI-O-ANDEEEEEE!!!!!" to get Andy permission to come out and play. Mrs. V was almost always the first face I would see in the door. I will also always remember her soft spoken, quiet, candid comments about daily life while I stood in the kitchen waiting for Andy. <br> Laurie, Nancy, Jimmy and Andy, I am grateful to have had the chance to know your mom. My deepest condolences to you all.

Doris and I were very close friends for over 40 years before my daughter and I moved to Maine. She was there when all 5 of my children were born, and mourned with us when my 24 year old son Timothy went home to be with the Lord. She also saw me through a miscarriage. She loved being a kind of second Mom to my children. Oh, the stories she had about them! They are now ages 49 down to 38. We lived on the same street and found ourselves in each others' kitchen on more than one occasion. She was a dear dear friend and I will miss her. I will always remember and love her for the way she cared about me and my family, and the wonderful times we had chatting over coffee.
