Obituary of Doris (Watson) Verrochi

Peabody - Doris (Watson) Verrochi, 85, beloved wife of the late Armand "Rocky" Verrochi, died peacefully on Saturday evening August 4, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, while in the comforting presence of her family. Born in Watertown, she was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Beardsall) Watson. She grew up in Malden and graduated from Malden High School. She then attended Wilfred Academy for hairdressing. She lived in Melrose a short time, and lived in Peabody for over 58 years. Mrs. Verrochi enjoyed nurturing her family as homemaker. She enjoyed music of opera to contemporary songs. She is survived by two sons, James Verrocchi of Peabody, Andrew Verrocchi & his wife Pam of Monson, MA; two daughters, Laurie LaRoque & her husband Gerry of Bedford, MA and Nancy Verrocchi of Peabody; two grandsons, Anthony and James Verrocchi both of Easton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a brother Robert Watson. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather and encouraged to attend in casual dress of shorts and jersey or T-shirt for a visitation on Friday August 10, 2012 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
