I worked with Anne at Salem Maritime from 1983 until 1992. I worked closely with Anne in the park's interpretation division. She and I were both involved in the Eastern National operations of the park. I was also a supervisor for interpretation before I left for Boston National Historical Park in 1992. I admired Anne's business sense and her knowledge and expertise. I considered her a dear friend and I was very sorry to hear about her death. I know she had a very busy life. She was always keeping herself busy even when many her age retired. We often talked about gardening and she shared her knowledge of gardening. I know many of us at Salem gained a lot from Anne. She was very respected by her peers and supervisors especially Superintendent Cynthia Pollack who passed away in 1992. Please extend my condolenses to her children and grandchildren. Sincerely, Sheila Cooke-Kayser

I felt so badly when I heard of your Mom's passing. I really enjoyed my visits with her, she was so independent. I just wished I had spent time with her recently. I will cherish her half/sour pickle recipe. We're so sorry for you both at this sad time. Neal and I send our love.
