To Lola's family: We don't know each other, but I knew your mother during the time my children attended South Memorial School and I was active in the PTO there. Your mother was my son's second grade teacher, and a few years later she was my daughter's third grade teacher. My children truly liked having your mother for a teacher; they always talked about how nice she was. I had the privilege of getting to know your mother during the many hours I volunteered at the school. I always felt she was a warm, genuine person who enjoyed nuturing young children. Christa McCauliffe once said, "I touch the future, I teach" Your mother certainly touched many young lives in a positive manner. May she now rest in peace. God bless her and you.

Lola attitude in the face of suffering in the midst of a horrific battle was inspiring. She smiled and "danced" through it all; most of all she stayed positive and consistently hopeful. I am grateful for her presence in my life and most of all for the courage and hope she reflected. I had dark days but her rays shined so brightly that my difficulties became to me trivial when I sensed the impact of the silent burden she carried so quietly without complaint.
We, who were fortunate enough to know and share her laughter have lost a piece of our heart and we shall miss her terribly. I shall always remember the wonderful days of "Sand Castles at Revere Beach" and the evenings at the Continental Restaurant in Saugus. I shall think of you often
but most especially when I re-visit these places. The girlie days at your marvelous palace by Nahant Beach will also remain a memory of you as well!

Joanne Bonura, a "Continental
dancing friend of Lola's. God hold you closely in His hands Lola ... and may you dance and laugh forever in the glory of Heaven forever.

Dear Lola,
You are finally at peace. I never met a stronger or more positve person in my life. When most of us would have given up years sooner, you continued on with your fight, and you were an inspiration to everyone who knew you. I am sure I will continue to look next door for as long as I live here, expecting to see you, smiling and waving. Rest in peace my good friend and neighbor and may God gently take you in his arms to a sunny beach in heaven.
Paul Girard
Nahant
