Obituary of Lola A. Latsis
Lola A Latsis, 65, of Nahant and formerly of Peabody, died Thursday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous battle against cancer.
Born in Greece, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Konstantinides) Latsios. She immigrated with her family to Peabody in 1951. She completed her high school education at Peabody High School in 1965.
She continued education at Salem State College and received her bachelor’s degree in education in 1969. She later received her Masters Degree from Lesley College in 1991.
Lola taught second grade in the Peabody Public School System for over 27 years before she retired. Lola enjoyed traveling, golfing, playing tennis, reading, and dancing. She also enjoyed painting and gardening.
Lola is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Seana Droggitis of Peabody and a daughter and son-in-law, Mia and Pete Mann of Winchester, her sister, Sandra and her husband Jack Veloukas of Peabody, and is also survived by three grandchildren, John, Matthew, and Julia Droggitis
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabodyto which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
