Obituary of Generosa M (Bianchino) Aiello

Generosa M. (Bianchino) Aiello, 100, of Peabody, died late Monday evening at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Peter J. Aiello. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (Colletti) Bianchino. She was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. Generosa worked as a receptionist for the John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston for over 30 years before retiring many years ago. She loved listening to talk radio and was a frequent caller to the Dave Maynard Show on WBZ for many years. While living in Peabody, she was a member of St. Adelaide’s Church where she served as deacon, and also was a member of sons of Italy. She was vice president of thePeabody chapter of the AARP and did volunteer work at the local library. She is survived by her son, Laurence and his wife Phyllis Aiello and her daughter, Frances and her husband Arthur Stuart, all of Peabody, her grandchildren, Mark Aiello, Lauren Brown, Stephanie Forte and Gregory Stuart and her great grandchildren, Peter and Cameron Aiello, Isabella and Anthony Forte and Eric and Christian Stuart and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Guy, Daniel, and Alex Bianchino, Gertrude Constantino and Ida Guinta. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 6 - 8 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, MA 01960, and or the Rosewood Resident Fund, 22 Johnson St., Peabody, MA 01960.
