Obituary of Alice (Tgettis) Patterson

Alice (Tgettis) Patterson, 85, of Peabody died Wednesday evening at the Pilgrim Rehab Nursing Center,Peabody after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was the loving wife of 58 years to Richard Patterson. She was born in Salem, MA on July 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Christopher and Florence (Zacapoulas) Tgettis and was raised and educated there before moving to Peabody. She had been employed at the General Electric Company in Lynn prior to her retirement. Alice enjoyed crocheting and sewing, and had been an avid reader. She and her husband liked taking trips around New England. Her greatest joy was caring and nurturing her family and being with them for all occasions. She is survived by her husband, her two sons, Richard Patterson Jr. of Salem and Brian Patterson of Chelsea, a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne Ann and Steve Blake of Tewksbury, her grandchildren, Tiffany, Christopher and Courtney Blake all of Tewksbury, her siblings, Charles and Nicholas Tgettis , Nora Ganey and Artemis Gregoire all of Salem and Helen George of Danvers and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alexander and Harry Tgettis. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Service will be held there on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
