Obituary of Sister Ann Rachael Sharry SND

Sister Ann Rachael Sharry, SND, died peacefully on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. Sister Ann was born Ann Mary Sharry in Somerville, MA of October 18, 1926 the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Murphy) Sharry. Sister was a Graduate of Boston University and had entered the Sisters of Notre Dame in Waltham on September 8, 1956 receiving her first vows on March 9, 1959 and professed her Perpetual Vows on July 29, 1964. Sister Ann’s ministries were in Hudson Catholic High School, St Joseph’s, Somerville, and at Emmanuel College. Sister Ann is survived by her many Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, her sister, Rita White and a niece Elizabeth White of Winchester. Sister was predeceased by Thomas Sharry, John Sharry and Mary Sharry. Sister’s Ann Rachael’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Queen Chapel, 30 Jeffrey’s Neck Road, Ipswich. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Ipswich. A Prayer Service will be held at 1:15 PM.
