This closes the end of a very tough week. Erin came home to say her goodbyes to her Nana. Thankfully she got here in time before she passed away Wednesday. Nana Bunny was very devoted to her family. More than 2 decades ago her son and I split up. But her home, and her heart, were always open to me. Her services were just beautiful yesterday, sad, yet Nancy captured her warmth and generosity so eloquently. God gives us many gifts, most importantly the people we cherish. Yesterday the priest spoke during the Mass about her joy in her grandchildren, and her delight in the arrival of Riley, her great granddaughter. Right on cue, Riley let out a sweet little yelp when the priest spoke her name. Everyone giggled. It gave us all a wonderful sense of peace and joy as we gathered to remember her. May God hold her, and all those she loved, in the palm of his hand.
