Obituary of Lionel F Espinola

Lionel F. Espinola of Peabody, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening at the Radius Health Care Center in Danvers. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Saul and Mary (Conde) Espinola. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. He was a WWII veteran who served in the United States Army Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant and was awarded five battle stars. Lionel was a self employed finish carpenter who enjoyed making furniture and working in his vegetable garden. He was a very private man. He leaves his brother Arthur and his wife Frances Espinola of Danvers. He was predeceased by his brother Conrad and his sister-in-law Patricia Espinola and by his sister-in-law, Ana A. Espinola. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Marlene and her husband Charles Coombs, Arthur J. Espinola, Deborah Espinola, Michael Espinola, Elaine Espinola, Patricia Martelli, Pamela and her husband Larry O’Brien, Lisa Jones, Joseph Espinola, and also several grandnieces and grandnephews. Lionel’s Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
