I have very fond memories of Emily from back in the late 70's and early 80's when she was the supervisor to a bunch of us teenagers working in the kitchen of Union Hospital. She was smart and tough and always kind and fair. She took no baloney from us and it was just what we needed. We could tell she loved doing it too because, although she was mostly 'all business', sometimes we would catch her with a sly smile, laughing at something stupid one of us had said or done. She was a wonderful lady and handled that tough job with grace and humor, I'll never forget her. Rest in Peace Emily, thank you for helping shape so many kids through the years. We loved you!
