I was so saddened to hear of Tony's passing today, and am sorry I could not pay my respects in person. For the past 37 yrs. I have been coaching soccer at Rockport High School. I want you to know every time I saw Tony he brought a smile to my face. Besides being happy that he was doing the game and knowing it would be a well managed match, his professional, and personal touch to the game made it enjoyable for all to be a part of. I would often run into him when I was scouting and would look forward to teasing and talking to him from the sideline, always good natured and obviously right at home on the soccer field!! He will be missed by all of us on the North Shore!! A wonderful man gentlemen. David Curley RHS soccer coach.

Mr. Leitao was my FAVORITE teacher. I had him for Recordkeeping & Accounting I. He ignited a spark in me to want to pursue a career in Accounting. I wish I could have brought him to college with me because his teaching was not just a job, it was a passion. Unfortunately the career in Accounting was short lived-let's be honest, it's not the most interesting career. However, I have never forgotten Mr. Leitao and his willingness to take me under his wing and have me "teach" the underdogs his lessons, while he taught the rest of the class. I remember a day I went to visit him after my son was born 17yrs ago, and he still had my senior picture under his deskmat. He was TRULY one of the most caring and nurturing teachers out there. I am a special education teacher and I often tell my students about Mr. Leitao. <3 R.I.P. You were one of the GEMS in teaching-for sure.
