So sorry to learn about your loss of Ray. Always in a good mood and never at a loss for words. Condolences to all Ray's family. A true Gemini, always busy and never bored. We enjoyed his comments when he appeared on the local Peabody TV show, was it "You Make the Call"? May he rest in peace. Ann & Joe Birkner, Peabody

My Dad will be sorely missed. He taught me many important life lessons: investing, auto mechanics, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc and inner strength. Most importantly, taking chances in life. Also, it is ok to make mistakes. That is how one can learn to get better in the future.
I want to thank everyone for their condolences. Especially, the Elementary School Gardening Club. He cherished the time he spent with all the children.
Love ya, Paul.

To Stoey family, Ray will be greatly missed on Wednesday evenings as a member of the Peabody KofC bowling team. He was always upbeat and a good competitor and would never back down from some good natured ribbing. We'll all miss you Ray..... God Bless.

On behalf of the Brown Elementary School, I extend my deepest sympathy to the Stoey family. We at the Brown School have always enjoyed a strong bond with the Stoey family - His daughter, Brenda, served on our School Improvement Council and Ray was instrumental in helping us set up and maintain our Brown School garden. He always came with a smile on his face, a great piece of gardening advice to share, and a plant to add to our garden. He was always so generous to us with his time and with his gardening expertise and we are ever in his debt for sharing his passion for gardening with us. We were privileged to have had Brenda's sons and Mark's children at our school. We send our warmest wishes to this special family of a truly wonderful man.

Elaine Metropolis

Brown School Principal

Dear Mrs. Stoey & Family-
We were so saddened to learn of Ray's passing. My son has been a member of Ray's Center School Garden Club for the past two years and he simply adored your husband. Ray was amazing with all the children and they learned so much from him (as did us parents) and they had a lot of fun along the way. His passion and knowledge of gardening was awe-inspiring. So while we are incredibly sad to have say goodbye we are eternally grateful for the time we spent with him and from all the knowledge we learned from him.
Sincerely, Susan, Ben, Tyler & Caden Sotomayor

WOW, What a Shocker!!!! Just last month he is enjoying making Waffles on Sunday for all of his Family and the next minute I am writing this memorial message because of his passing. Crazy World!! Let me just say that Ray got the most out of life, he tried everything. From jobs, to food, to vacations,to the garden, to Family,.... Ray is now at PEACE in Heaven, not only with the Angels, but also with his daughter( Brenda ) . Ray and Brenda are meeting up right now and have a lot of memories to catch up on. Ray was a father to me and Brenda was my wife and both will remain in my heart forever. Peace , Love Tray & The Forsythe Boyz
