As a longtime friend of Dee's youngest, Stephen, I was honored to be treated, from the start, so graciously and lovingly by Steve's family also. Dee and Bruce extended their bountiful parental care and wisdom to me and, I'm sure, to the friends of their other kids as well - so generous was (and is) their spirit.<br>I lost my mother early and, while not referenced by Dee, always felt the inclusive embrace of the fierce and dedicated love she shared with her own family - easily, unselfconsciously, with humor and a light touch.<br>Dee was a unique and very special individual who delightfully improved the lives of all lucky enough to know her.<br><br>- Matt Thurber, Dedham, MA
