Obituary of Diane (Raymond) Harriman

Diane (Raymond) Harriman, of Marblehead, retired to Peabody, died peacefully on February 5, 2014 at the Continuing Care at Brooksby Village following a brief illness. Born on February 26, 1928 to Catherine Gibson Raymond and Adolf Raymond, Dee attended Rollins College and graduated from Colorado College and Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She is survived by Bruce Harriman, 89, her husband of 63 years with whom she sailed, traveled, and raised the family she loved. She is also survived by her daughter Gail Harriman of San Francisco, CA; her son David Harriman of Belmont, MA; her son Stephen Harriman and his wife Mary McCorkhill of Miami Beach, FL, and her granddaughters Deming Harriman and Lily Harriman. Dee was a woman of good taste and strong opinions who was devoted to her family. She volunteered for many years at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA and was a realtor at Carlson Realty in Marblehead, MA. She will be remembered by family and friends as a fun-loving, vibrant personality, and she will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brooksby Village Resident Care Fund,200 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, MA 01960.
