I had Mr. Marquis as one of my shop teachers in 1976. He was the most down to earth, funniest guys I had ever met. First off, he was George!!! He was just like on of the guys when we were out working, he loved his coffee,lunch and hated to drive. I played driving Miss Daisy my whole Senior year. I do have to say he was a talented carpenter, and always thought thing out and came up with the answer. I learned a lot from him and my other shop teachers, but George was more like a friend and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a fine great guy and I am sure he will be missed by all he has touched!
