Obituary of Enoch Logan
Enoch Logan, 81, of Danvers, died Saturday evening at the Twin Oaks Nursing home in Danvers following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Arlene (Kennedy) Logan with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage.
Born in Olive Hill, KY, he was the son of the late Tobias and Martha (Rayburn) Logan. He was raised and educated in Kentucky. After graduating high school, Enoch entered the United States Air Force and was stationed in WashingtonD.C. at the Pentagon during the Korean War.
While serving with the US Air Force, he met Arlene and after their service, moved to Danvers. He then attended Salem State College and received his Bachelor and Master’s Degree in English and taught English for over 32 years at DanversJunior High School and later at the high school, before retiring in 1994.
Upon his retirement, he split his time between North Fort Myers, Florida and Wells, Maine. He enjoyed doing carpentry work around the house and enjoyed camping with his wife and playing cards, darts, and golf. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles as well.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his son, Michael Logan of Fitchburg, his four daughters, Kathleen and her husband Gary Winchell of Peabody, Linda Landry of CT, Alicia Logan of Danvers and Loretta and her husband Jim Fader of Peabody, his grandchildren, Ian Logan, Keith Fader, Stephanie Landry, Stephen DesFosses, and Jackie Corbett and is also survived by six brothers and two sisters. He was predeceased by his grandson Sean Landry.
At the request of the family, a private family service will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
