So saddened to hear of the loss of a wonderful friend. She was always doing kind things for me and we enjoyed each others company when we spent time together as snowbirds in Florida. She made the best bread pudding ever. I'm so glad I got to speak with her a couple of weeks ago and while she told me she was not going to make it to Easter, she told me she was not afraid and ready and for me not to cry. How can I not! I will miss you Anne. You always gave me good advice. At least it's comforting to know you are no longer suffering and at peace and with your loved one, Frankie! RIP I Anne. Thinking of family too - especially her Grandchildren who she talked so much about. Thinking of you all. Jeanette

Ann DeCarlo was my teacher in 1963-64 at Pickering Grammar School. I have thought about her over the years and will be ever grateful for all that she taught me. She was my absolute favorite teacher, a sentiment shared by many of her students I'm sure. My prayers and condolences to her family.

Ann DeCarlo was my all-time favorite teacher from Pickering School. I learned so much from her and while I can get lazy at times when writing or speaking, every time I do something not quite right grammatically, I always think of her! She was talked about not too long ago on Facebook and was regarded by many of us who went to Pickering as a most wonderful teacher - hard, but fair and totally brilliant. Thank you, Mrs. DeCarlo, for all that you did for the children of Salem.

I had the great pleasure of serving as a student to Mrs. Decarlo as my English teacher and homeroom teacher back in the 1980's. She had a great demeanor and was also a very caring teacher. I found myself thinking of her here and there throughout the years. It is with great sadness that I have learned of her passing. I hope she finds the eternal peace we all seek. I send my prayers and condolences to the family of this wonderful teacher and person.<br>Etay Silva
