Mrs. Hanlon and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Charlie was a great guy and a good friend to my parents (Kay and Tom) while living near each other at Essex Green. You and Charlie were always there for them and especially for my Mom after my Dad died. I will always be grateful for your support. I hope to be able to attend his wake to speak to you in person. You are all in my prayers.

Love,
Erin Doherty Heenan

Rich, Steve and Charley,

Sorry about your Dad. I just found out from Paul and Bobby. I know it's been a while, but I've got nothing but good memories from your Dad. He was always good to us and a great neighbor.
Funny how the one thing I think about with your Dad, besides you guys and your mom of course, was the Hawk. He seemed to identify with that cat, the king of the neighborhood.

I am very sorry for your loss. I saw the announcement in the Globe. I don't know why or how I noticed it, but my eyes went right to the article. Charlie and I go way back to 1968, when I first got out of college and joined GE in Lynn as an Engineer. I worked with Charlie for 10 years. He was a great person to work with, learn from and laugh with. Maybe some of you remember his old green Pontiac Tempest? He sold it to me for $25 and I got a couple of good years use before my wife banged it up! Charlie and I had many good laughs together. Whenever I think of him, for some reason I always smile. He was that type of guy.
