Obituary of Joan (Lindberg) Kelley
Joan E. (Lindberg) Kelley, 75, a lifelong Beverly resident,
died Thursday evening at the Beverly Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of
the late Philip C. Kelley.
She was born in Beverly on January 24, 1928, the daughter
of the late Mads A.M. and Gertrude F. (Smith) Kelley and was a graduate of Beverly
High School in 1945.
She first worked as a secretary at the United Shoe Machine
Corp. in Beverly for 9 years. Later she became a secretary at the No. Beverly
Elementary School for 20 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed swimming and
Outdoor sports and devoted her later years to her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Kelley and her husband
Josh Lehman of Beverly and Joan Marie and Stephen Poehlman of Sandown, N.H.,
a brother, Edward A. Ted Lindberg of Wenham, a sister, Marie G. Leonard of
Beverly, 4 grandchildren, Emilia Poehlman of Sandown, N.H, Greivin, Francisco and
Justin Lehman all of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the
late Leonard J. and Kenneth F. Lindberg and the grandmother of the late Philip Lehman.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the family
Lot in No. Beverly Cemetery Rte. 97, Beverly . There are no visiting hours. Expressions
