My condolences to all of Penny's family. Penny worked with my mom, Elaine, at Salem Hospital and they were best buds. Penny was her angel when she was became ill and, along with the rest of Penny's hospital gang, they never stopped having fun even during her illness. I can picture them together now reunited and glad to be seeing one another again. Penny, say hi to my mom for me! Carolyn

Penny and I became family when her son Scott married my daughter Laurie. Over the last few years we found we had much in common. We both loved watching movies, trying out new products at Macy's, shopping, lunches from Betty Anne's Sandwich Shop, attending family events and most of all spending time with our grand children. Even though my youngest two are not directly related to her, she loved them as if they were her own and they loved her just as much.I shall miss her deeply but know that she was always meant to be one of God's Angels in heaven just as she was one down here. She was loved by everybody who knew her because of her generous and loving heart. In closing, I want to share a call I got from my 12 year old granddaughter today. She said 'Penny' and I said 'What about her honey(as I was not sure if her father had shared the news with her yet), and she said 'I want her back!' and I told her 'We all do'. Out of the mouths of babes!

Requiescat In Pace
Sleep well now, my dear Penny. You fought long and hard to squeeze every drop of life from this world, and you did so to the very end.
You were a kind, brave, and energetic soul who inspired THOUSANDS in this one short lifetime. People young and old shall keep your name and deeds on their lips for generations to come.
You were a soldier of a higher power, and I will think of you every time I dance, and every time I hear "Amazing Grace".

We will miss Penny's smiles and hugs. She was a tremendous influence in both of our lives. When I confided in Penny that I might like to start dating Sarah, she said "Go for it!" She said it with such enthusiasm, I knew that Sarah and I were going to be happy together. She knew deep in her heart that Sarah and I would make a great couple. Penny's love for others was infectious and I'm so glad that she was part of our lives. Our love for Penny will endure the ages. Thoughts and prayers to the family. We've all lost an amazing woman.
