Obituary of Carolee Ann "Penny" Pelletier

Carolee Ann “Penny” (Phaup) Pelletier, 76, of Salem and formerly of Peabody and Lynn, died Tuesday evening at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the wife of Richard Pelletier of Peabody. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Robert J and Marian E. (Barteaum) Phaup. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1957. She later lived in Peabody and spent the last 25 years living in Salem. Carolee Ann was employed with North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital for over 25 years, and retired as a medical librarian. She loved dancing, going to movies and sang for many years with the choir at St. Ann’s Church in Peabody. She was a very active and organizer for MSCYPAA. She also was a long time volunteer at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly. Besides her husband Richard, she is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark Pelletier of Jamaica Plain and Scott and Laurie Pelletier of Groveland, her daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Christopher Yiakas of Peabody, she is also survived by her beloved eight grandchildren, Patrick, Glen, Amber Dawn, Darren, Natalie, Jason, Harvest Moon, and Rachael, and by a great grandchild, Kaiden. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Phaup and Patricia Coyne. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her to Spontaneous Celebrations, 45 Danforth St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130
